It is already well know that Romans has been an inexhaustible source of Christian thought. It is also true, as William Sanday points out, that "if it is a historical fact that the spiritual revivals of Christendom have been usually associated with closer study of the Bible, thsi would be true in an eminent degree of the Epistles to the Romans. -Introduction
