Deposit License Agreement By submitting content to the AIIAS Online Repository (“the Repository”), I, the author/creator or authorized submitter, agree to the following terms: 1. Grant of Non-Exclusive License I grant the Adventist International Institute of Advanced Studies (AIIAS) a non- exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to store, reproduce (for preservation, accessibility, and format migration), and make my submission accessible worldwide in any medium for educational, research, and non-commercial purposes. This agreement does not transfer copyright ownership. I retain all rights to my work. 2. Author’s Rights I understand that: • I may publish or distribute this work elsewhere, in its current or revised form. • I may grant similar rights to other parties. • The Repository will clearly identify me as the author/creator and provide proper citation of the work. 3. Copyright and Permissions I confirm that: • The work is original, or I have secured all necessary permissions for any third- party material included (e.g., images, tables, figures, musical excerpts, or extended quotations). • The submission does not infringe copyright, intellectual property, privacy, confidentiality, or ethical standards. • Where the work has been previously published, deposit of this version complies with the publisher’s or funder’s policies. 4. Access Levels and Embargo I understand that: • My submission may be made open access or restricted according to AIIAS Repository policies. • Embargo period of two years is applied. • After an embargo expires, the work will automatically become publicly accessible unless otherwise approved by the Library. 5. Preservation and Format Migration I authorize AIIAS to: • Take reasonable steps to preserve the work for long-term access. • Convert the work to different formats or media as needed for preservation, without altering its intellectual content. 6. Withdrawal and Versioning I acknowledge that: • The Repository may retain a permanent metadata and citation record even if access to the full text is withdrawn. • Requests for withdrawal or replacement will be considered for valid legal, ethical, or policy reasons, subject to Library review. 7. Disclaimer and Use by Third Parties AIIAS is not responsible for the misuse of the work by third parties. Users of the Repository are expected to comply with copyright law, license terms, and fair use principles.
